Jamie and I have been competing on who can be the healthiest as we lose some weight and get in shape. We motivate each other with massages. We are working to get ready for our Halloween Trunk or Treat tonight. Mesha will be a princess, Aiden will either be a Buzz Lightyear or Thomas the Tank engine and Brody will be a pumpkin. Brody went in for his 9 month appointment this week. He is just over 26 lbs. Still off the charts, but the Dr said not as far off the charts. His hight is still at the 95th percentile. We will be in AZ in just over a week. That is so soon. Jamie I am sure can't wait. I am not looking forward to the long drive.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-59732779630014335142008-08-07T20:24:00.002-05:002008-08-07T20:27:59.397-05:00Making FacesI miss the kids and Jamie since I have been away for a week and a half now. Last night I woke myself from a dream where I was making faces with Emesha. I would wink and she would wink; I would poke my cheeks and she would poke her cheeks; I pulled my nose up, she pulled her nose up. When I woke I was sticking my tongue out, so I must have been playing along while I slept. Aiden will not play that game with me as much as Emesha, but I do miss the kids and Jamie.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-15332233028754592002008-08-05T12:12:00.000-05:002008-08-05T12:30:19.440-05:00Snapfish.comSo recenly Jamie has had a fear of loosing her mememory or at least the computer's mememory. Every picture we have ever taken of the kids sits on the Hard Drive on our home computer. Before Emesha was born we printed some of them, but not many. So now there are thousands of pictures on there. Well printing these dang pictures is not cheap. I think Sams or Costco is 18 cents a piece! quick math... .18 x 1000 = way to much for a picture in my mind! Now comes Snapfish... 8 cent photos!! So Jamie had me load a DVD full of all the 'good' pictures (so many garbage shots are taken with didgital cameras) and send it to them to load. We then were able to get a large box full of 1000 pictures mailed to our door. They offer matte or glossy finish and if we want to go back and order bigger or photos for frames, they are all online ready for it. I just had to let everyone know how easy it was!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-45860654983840090782008-08-02T09:37:00.000-05:002008-08-02T09:41:51.134-05:00Alone in TexasWell, I dropped the kids and wife off in Phoenix after a short vacation with them, and now I am alone in Texas for a week. Last night I went with some others from the elders quorum and helped a less active family pick peaches from their orchard. I think he has about 500 trees and it is the end of the season. I ate a few of the peaches as we picked and they were very good. We shall see how time gets filled... Honey do's or the gym or sleep? I forced myself to sleep in until 9 today. I guess Mesha was sick last night in phoenix though. Poor girl was throwing up and now is sleeping some more. I miss the family and it will be nice to see them again in a week.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-45125590674840800322008-07-04T15:12:00.001-05:002008-07-04T15:18:21.065-05:00NEW PICTURES!

Well Happy 4th of July. WE took the kids to a parade this morning. I guess I did not tell Jamie the parade consisted of US walking and waving to old people. The Fire Department had 7 trucks there for the kids to follow (every truck had their sirens blaring!). Then they had ice cream and cookies for the kids. The kids then were able to climb all over the trucks.

These are pictures from today and the last little bit. He is usually all smiles and puts up with a little torture from his brother and sister. Aiden and Emesha just love him so much and they want to help out all the time. Well he was crying and mom was not coming fast enough. Aiden kept telling Jamie "Brody is hungry Mom!, Brody is hungry MOM!" well by the time Jamie made it there Brody had his first taste of solid food (GREEN BEANS!)

Jamie had her 31st birthday this week and she wanted money to buy new clothes with (when she looses those last few pounds). So I decided to give her a challenge! I taped the money to a wall with each bill slightly higher than the last one. For the final 3 bills I was jumping from a chair to get them nearly to our ten foot ceiling. I then told jamie should could have as much as she could get without standing on anything. (well I did help her figure out a way around that rule; she could lift one of the kids, have me give her some long tongs, or have me lift a kid!) She used all three. She did get all her b-day money and will get to go shopping all by herself when she is ready.

I will post more pictures in a while, but I wanted to give an update!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-1785907152883108582008-03-11T20:25:00.001-05:002008-03-11T20:25:17.642-05:00Check out my Slide Show!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-24523750492887073272007-09-19T19:56:00.000-05:002007-09-19T20:00:41.861-05:00And the verdict is...<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDipCExUjE0nukLArU2HLTMt76DROxuDRrAEAgOFkinBdCKwJ8oOOcxCPGm_OkIJyIvu_zl6Mx_xdplPFz8kXgd0TlN_0orqT75_KCh02s4G3GdT3k9e_J3kN_4kwhQPNC5q3v6sE5Tz73/s320/sc000dab2c.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5112084228586549234" />
Well, I did not think it was too hard, and I am glad to see that everyone was able to score very well on this test. We will have to move all our stuff to a storage unit, live in a hotel for at least a weekend; then we will close on our new house. The primary reason for the move is to reduce our debt. It will be challenging to go from 3300 sqft to 2300 sqft, but I am sure we will manage as most of this house sits partially empty. We will be moving 'out of the city' to a small town just south of here called Flint. It will be a much longer drive to work (15-20min) so no more coming home for lunch, but it will cut our monthly house payment by more than $1000 -that we can use towards something else. It is Friday night and I have nothing planned. I am hoping to go wake boarding with a friend from work tomorrow, but only time will tell if they decide to go. But the reason for this blog.... Jamie told me that she felt the baby move yesterday (maybe Wednesday), so I had a reason to type another comment on our blog. Jamie is something like 17 weeks right now, and never felt the other two kids until like 20 to 25 weeks along. It is always reasuring to feel that movement and know that everything is okay.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-19001408289820953312007-08-13T15:15:00.000-05:002007-08-17T14:02:34.996-05:00Soap obsessionAbout a month or two ago, I came home to a furious wife. The kid were being forced to time-out crying. The kids had taken the soap in their bathroom down and squirted a few spots on the carpet and broke an 'ear' off of one of the dispensers. (the kids bathroom is jungle animals and there are two soap dispensers. One is a monkey with a bobble head and the other is a Giraffe.) The ear of the Giraffe was broken off but no permanant damage a little super glue could not fix. Jamie was quite upset that they had climbed up on the counter, taken down the dispencers and then made a mess of the carpet. The whole time it took her to clean up the mess (with my help of course) the kids were required to sit in timeout and watch.

Well, Today I came home for lunch. The kids were upstairs playing quietly and Jamie was on the phone. All seemed to be peaceful and in harmony. After I warmed up my lunch and began to eat (the kids still upstairs and jamie on the phone), I began to think "those kids are a little too content up there". At Least three different times I started to go up stairs, but then I would hear the kids and think all was well. Finally, Aiden started to whine, so I went up stairs. They were not in the Toy room where I thought they would be. Mesha's Door was closed and the noice was coming from in there. *(her room is next to the kids bathroom). I opened the door to find a puddle of soap from the broken monkey soap dispenser. They had snaped off the ceramic tail of the monkey that was the pump portion of the dispencer. There was Mesha sitting in the middle of the puddle very proud of her accomplishment and COVERED with liquid hand soap. Aiden was in Mesha's crib with the Giraffe soap squirting it on her bed. I guess the noise he made was to let me know he could not get out of the bed... Don't know. Anyway, I told Jamie to NOT come upstairs because I knew it would lead to a bad day. I carried mesha to the sink and began to wash all the soap off of her. (Luckly she was only in a Diaper) Once she was clean, I took her and Aiden and sat them in Time out and began taking handfulls of soap to the bathroom and began cleaning up. (imagine making a bowl with both hands and having that totally full of soap for a couple of trips.) Of course, Jamie did not stay out and was upset by the situation. I spent a good 20 min soaking the carpet and sucking it up with the shopvac to get the soap out. You would think a one and two year old would hav known better than making a mess! Geez! :)

This happened three days ago (when I started writing this), but as life goes we get busy and have to come back to things at a later time. Jamie and Kids will be in Mesa tomorrow afternoon. Enjoy them while they are there. But I want them back in one piece in two weeks time. Love you all!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-42705075444187706082007-08-09T12:45:00.000-05:002007-08-09T12:53:11.417-05:00Baby UpdateJamie went to the Dr's this morning and everything is looking good. The Dr asked if Jamie was sleeping okay and as a pregnant woman she replied no... He told her no more naps. She was upset by that, but I will help her follow Dr's orders. The next appointment is set for September 13 at 11 am (Texas time). We will be finding out the sex of the baby at that point. Should be exiting.

I asked Aiden what he did this morning and he told me he went to the Dr. I asked if he was sick and he told me it was for mommy. He then told me that the Dr hit Mommy. I looked to Jamie and she explained the shock on Aiden's face as a mother disiplined her daughter by spanking. I guess that set in some as to what he could get. Both of our kids love cookies, and that is why they are such a powerful bribe. Typically, the kids only get a cookie if they go 'poops' on the potty, but when Grandma and Grandpa (not to mention Kayla and Tanya) came to town, the kids were spoiled with cookies when every the begged.

Mesha is such a messy eater. maybe it has something to do with the fact she is not even two yet, but I think she makes a mess just because she can.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-50493006989952997302007-07-31T20:37:00.000-05:002007-07-31T20:46:32.301-05:00The Baby<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtub5zdbESBhUCNB_iWk4aztl4qBpz1tG6Wly061r2776XoVesjFgD6bR85aJB2ddBeLqCDTCq0Dgh3gojuT9bcVJuaQtKyT0yjimNbza-BRTL2uCeQvn5GWB_47D9tdLRnrkvHDVDql1t/s320/sc002d9bf0.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093541032568855570" />

This is the first ultrasound we have of the upcoming baby. The primary reason for the multiple visits was to go see the white tigers they have on display this summer. The exhibit is small enough that the tigers are right up next to you, but big enough that they can have room to pay. These white tigers are just over one year old. One one of the visits, they arrived right after the zoo opened, and at that time in the morning, all the animals are very active and playful. The tigers were especially active this morning and the family was enjoying watching the tigers play with each other. Then the tiger eyed Emesha. The tiger croached and sprang at the glass seperating them (I was not there, but this is how the story was told to me.) Obviously, the glass held and we still have Emesha, but that tiger saw a tasty snack in my little girl. The female tiger did not take her eyes off of Mesha the rest of the time. Mesha hid behind mom's legs and would not get right up to the glass anymore to watch the tigers. I don't think she noticed as much as everyone else.

Well, I thought I would start blogging now that we don't get to see everyone like we would like and it will be nice to have a way to share pictures and comments. Enjoy!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-55866669857080697962007-07-30T21:36:00.000-05:002007-07-31T20:55:42.464-05:00<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLrtsl6M79wXMV19VLIAVKZzLv2j0yJC-HYYJqYcyID2PKS00_9KZlqbr1Oo9L56H0D75_wuSMqJ3pRMWUXcLb5kE7Cw0otGEl_kOJ5n3m89_OR-tsiEo8F5fmyNjVqDJYJLwVfwAsLV8M/s320/DSC01935.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093186869565627330" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5pVUHUjrrbLCUsnEfXudBRsrPNoBlABR6Nq5x4fJDAfa1FBTK6NF6Szv8M_Ug4qZtCqWNvfFaHWQFccyrn5ond2HQPjfgq2ADMo6iYKa6MQx5kVie1e5UHmL3DIcEmj4j3FSNedyuNCyX/s320/DSC01917.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093186882450529234" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8v2VJLg5X1bVIhnYBXXmbCo9rx87gBT2MiKrHQ2xJ6t56XUAB1JOc3boHlmu025CMmRrtiq_56cfr42at_JbB5R6azQxxwBPud6tQ9C-3b9DZ1guOyP3ELU-gHRImMOcYa80bXSHDUO9x/s320/DSC01696.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093186908220333026" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTcSJYQDK3y8Qulk6yagVEKyIAy_KtPX12zmCGtZ_v-4AXouLWg5rswokPBy4sZITGqJ_f4i88OThGt6OSQh6RpJCKjE1cC2LrO_D9p6_wYe4t20yRf1HD7xt-jPCJEWkxYBMghtUcNohW/s320/DSC01912.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093186929695169522" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglMHdKPdlG84Z3AL6s7dMBoCrbe1XuTxGAFdzPme7MIaVNDshHeWUrOVeIQ7UZ0cLSMFVf_y3nUxb8hPtKSjRtC-n7XnUlDXmSt_oJDJ5WHSfRq90MYlwYIaq27T52AvLcb_Kh88BRXEh7/s320/DSC01685.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093185061384395682" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjcQwOnnWjzLuApzJLCLfRoVMNUKCvugKBryE1o3peMjqRfuzKqIzqe52DasKDLE2IdrLWCC6Vd7Z-L65P_YWPfSkol7RRXc3kVS1HlRf1Rc_1lb74hbgE-C_7HRafZt1NNz-0eH-tHDMW/s320/DSC01605.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093185069974330290" />
About the backpacks... We bought a couple extras for our 72 hour kits, and the kids just love wearing them (so they don't have our 72 hr kit stuff in them). As you see Aiden holding an extra, Daddy has one and mommy has one. If the kids are wearing their, then mommy and daddy must wear theirs as well. It is challenging to keep these backpacks hidden for any amount of time, but we do try.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-81823964926850999282007-07-30T21:27:00.000-05:002007-07-31T20:49:28.121-05:00<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLBQa50BG9YvuHoVIZnZLZtgDJaoKkgH2HsDvRpUYY9LvtW3gnhZ2mZ_KQ3PlS8HJYXXBQuQMNPfUpv5TU2SI3U0cHO3vF0RIt3CjA29W-TtsVqQ6IBx6Kvcp8QLODBVTMtWP6Zn34PmE0/s320/DSC01929.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093182175166372754" />

Mesha has a beautiful smile, but she also can charm anything she wants out of daddy.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3371902854097384476.post-40690557875087232522007-07-30T21:10:00.001-05:002007-07-31T20:53:21.082-05:00Aiden<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcS5FcSctuFq_DihyOcHeBXCGCl14tgDlG4VK3wGFnssae8khqFM3D6TR4MQAsiY9iJN-XkxnvO6ld1hWuxmURTJ-UPJJdF10hGBJUr7FZ-EI5eyVo9uMXE6y33U81DOjXb-YBp4K-uqY_/s320/DSC01961.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093181814389119874" />
We have this picture of Aiden on our wall.
